3.0 swap

Plan on swapping over the upper and lower intake from the 1996 and put it on the 2001, this will make sure all the wiring matches up to the sensors, also takes Flex Fuel issues off the table as you will be using correct injectors
Check oil pans, 2WD and 4x4 can be different
Other than that it will just bolt in
Things I would do when 3.0l is out
Change rear main oil seal
Change timing cover gasket, known coolant leak point on 3.0ls
Check front coolant line elbows, they like to rust out, and can be a pain to change
