99 ranger over heating

Icon13 99 ranger over heating

my 99 ranger will sit and idle for 15 to 20 mins before it starts heating up but u can give it alot of gas and the temp hand goes back down or when ur driving it'll go up but the same , give it alot of gas and it goes back down. it has a new radiator, new radiator cap, new thermostat. any help would be greatly appreciated

Well, between the new cap, core, and stat, whats left? Could just be a bad sender to. Why didnt you do the waterpump when all that other stuff was replaced?

how many miles are on it...the water pump impellers might be worn out

Throw some new rad hoses on it while you're at it. They can split inside and block water flow.

and new hoses never hurt anything

it has 112k miles ....the water pump isnt leaking anywhwere that i can see...could it still be bad? would the temp hand go down when u give it gas with a bad water pump?
