does anyone know the diferences between the mounting hardware of a 91 3.0's alt and a 2001 3.0's alt

'91 is a "V" belt, I believe....

the v belt wouldnt matter.. swap pulleys

 

The link was meant to show the mounting difference.

The newer alternators won't bolt up as the mounting method is completely different. I'm sure the electrical connection differs too. You may have luck getting a higher output alternator for a Lincoln or Mercury model that had power, heated seats, similar year.
