battery light going on and off

battery light going on and off

so on saturday i noticed that at 3700 rpm's or so that the battery light comes on but as soon as i go below that pointe the light turns off. im thinking an altinator what do you guys think. any help would be great.

Probably your alternator. That happened to mine a couple years back.

Go to autozone and have them check your alternator. Its free and it will tell you whether or not thats the problem.

Your alternator needs brushes. When they wear out, the springs on them loose their tention to hold them against the slip rings. They will then loose contact, especially at high RPMs.
