I have a 2003 Ranger extended cab XLT with a 3.0L V6. I purchased this truck in March of this year, and am slowly making small repairs as needed. I am currently replacing the valve cover gaskets and while most everything out of the way I would like to re attach the bracket that supports the line that feeds the fuel rails. It was unattached when I bought the truck. I have been unable to figure what it attaches to. Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Please see attached photo.
Keep in mind my truck is a 1992 so results may vary, but my truck has that bracket hooked to the back of the Power Steering pump. I would assume the purpose is to route the lines and make sure they stay off the exhaust manifold. Here are some pics of mine: Zoomed out shot just so you can see the orientation. The lines run up behind PS pump and AC compressor. You can the lines are attached in front of the exhaust manifold. This is a close up of the mounting point on the PS pump.
Thanks so much for responding to my question!! I goes no where close to the area I was guessing. It has been moved from its original position on the line, and I really appreciate your taking time to shoot the pics. I will attach this tomorrow!!!
