CAI update

well im finally done a lot of trial and error and grinding away to smooth any imperfections out. (the fit is a bit tight but it doesnt make contact with the alt or alt pulley or even the fan blades) it was a fun project! i was thinking of doing the escape tb swap, what year model escapes are ideal for the swap?

Not a cold air intake...just a new intake tube.
Have spare parts after a plumbing job you decided to put to good use?...

thats good ingenuity, cheap and way to go to sticking it to the over priced auto manufactures of the aftermarket, for you sir I give you kudos.

I bet that barely costed $30 compared to the $400 for a composite or aluminum tube

You have the right idea... Wrong materials...

There's a reason intakes are metal... Not plastic.

And people sell used intakes all the time... Used intake is the same thing as a new one.

My K&N FIPK intake tube is black plastic.

Get yourself a K&N filter or something similar and attach it to your tube. Then you will be all set.

I was being sarcastic. I had a KN intake but took it off cause it was worthless. didnt add any power and my intake temps are cooler with the stock one.
