Bought my 99 with a 3.0 for 600 bucks with 113,000mi. Dude blew the head gasket and redid it with the goop. Still failed so he sold the truck. Its a flex fuel also if that matters idk. Anyways it purs like a kitten and thing thing is as clean as a whistle so I figure its a good investment.
So we get a gasket kit and have the heads planed and its all back together. For one the temp gage on this things stinks. He got it to work again but it bounces all over the place. And two the thing has no power at all. It takes forever to get moving up to speed. And the motor sounds clicky on top end on both sides of the motor. So what do it do here. I can replace what ever is broke if I know what it is but cant afford to replace everything ***** nilly.
also whats a reliable aftermeket temp guage for these things. Seams like every vulcan motor owner sould replace the factory setup
