Clutch fan

Does my 2007 3.0L with manual transmission have a standard duty or severe duty clutch fan, Rock Auto lists both.

I was unaware that there was two different fan hubs. The extreme duty one might be an aftermarket option for towing.

You could call your dealer, give them your VIN, and get the part number that the truck should have for an OEM cross reference. I imagine unless it was sold with a towing package, it had the standard fan installed

You can use either, I have tried both versions on my 1994 4.0l never saw a difference in cooling or longevity after 20 years, so I get the less expensive one :)
