Constantly Cranks/No Spark coming from ignition coil

2002 Ford Ranger 3.0L 4x4

Trying to keep this short and sweet. I backed my truck out of my shop after doing some body work to it, started up fine and when I went to move it less than an hour later it just started cranking constantly without turning over. The wires going to the coil have power, however there’s no power going to the plugs or even coming from the coil it’s self. I checked the fuel system: the pumps engaging, and there’s fuel coming from the fuel rail. I’m confused as to why the coil would just give out like that when it worked perfectly fine not too long ago. Scanner also isn’t picking up any stored codes leading to a PCM issue.

New coils on the way to the shop as we speak, any other ideas? I’ve chased down every fuel and spark related fuse/relay and all tested good.

Not sure which CoilPack you've got on that 2002 V6~3.0L?
Here's info to do a ResistanceOhms check on a stock CoilPack for a 2001 V6~4.0L~SOHC.

Hope this helps. More info at

It’s this one with the connector facing up from the coil

Body work; did you trip the inertial fuel cutoff? What sort of body work?

Does the CEL(check engine light) go OFF when starter motor is active(cranking)?

It should if computer is getting a pulse from the Crank sensor

CEL should come on with key on(computer is booting up), then go off when cranking, if it doesn't go OFF then no spark and no fuel injectors because computer doesn't even know you are trying to start the engine, no timing pulse from crank sensor

Check that crank sensor is plugged in, its behind crank pulley at about 10:00 position

What's next? My CEL stays on. I have power to the coil. Continuity in the wire harness, but nothing.
