Does power steering gear have a bleeder screw?
Does power steering gear have a bleeder screw?
I need to replace the power steering pump/reservoir on my 92' Ranger XLT with 2.9 V6. I have never done this repair before. I hear you can bleed the air out of the system through a bleeder screw on the steering gear.
Is this true? If so, where is the this bleeder screw on the steering gear?

i took the pump out, replaced a big o ring that goes around the whole pump sealing the reservoir and put it back in place, no bleeding , just filled her up with oil and no more leak
I never followed up on this from a long time ago. Bleeder screw not important anyway. I learned the power steering system on my vehicle will eventually bleed out all the air anyway
through daily use and turning of the steering wheel. It might take a few weeks or so.
