My dad has a friend that is sellin his ranger for really cheap and its the same year as mine and same engine but his is 2wd...i have a 99 xlt 4wd...my questin is will the engine out of the 2wd truck swap into my 4wd truck w/o having to do anything other than take the ad engine out n put the good one in???

any advice helps...

there is no difference what so ever

 

engine is the same. Only different is the back of you transmission has a transfer case. The driveshaft will be different and the whole front suspension/ driveline. The engine however if it's the same motor will work for you
