Does the 3.0L in a 95 ranger have gaskets on the head to manifold connection? Mine did not when I took it apart for head gasket replacement. all bolts came out fine. Ordering parts now so not sure if I need gaskets on the exhaust manifold to head or not.

 

Mine did/does. And you are lucky the exhaust bolts came out without breaking or stripping at least one or two. I suspect previous work may have been done. You can mount the manifold to the head without gasket if they are milled flat for that purpose.

 

That reminds me, I have one exhaust bolt that is broken, what do you guys recommend for replacement? I have seen some that come with an alan head for installation and removal of the stud/bolt but not sure if that's available for the Ford Ranger. Thanks
