Exhaust problem

Exhaust problem
I recently ran into the back of my sister-in-law's Civic () and it broke my passenger side pipe. It broke the welding around where the pipe goes in to the muffler and shoved it back into the muffler.
My dad and I removed the pipe and re-bent the mounting thing so the pipe sits in the right place and I used some of this off brand exhaust leak stuff (JB welding is what my pops called it). But the stuff has already burned through it sounds like.
I was mostly just wondering, instead of getting it welded back, what would happened if I just removed both of the pipes. I don't know if I'd burn a valve or not doing it.
*For information purposes I have dual Magnaflow exhaust.

you can try going to advanced and looking for some exhaust putty it is good up to 2000 degrees (JB weld is only good for like 500 or so) it should hold around the welds
there is a paste you can place around the pipes before you put them back in and then put the putty around, you need to let it sit up for a night or so before driving it
its called Permatex Muffler and Tailpipe Putty

The only reason I was asking about the pipes is because I liked the way the truck sounded with no pipes.
