Flex fuel composition sensor

I’m wondering if anyone has any leads on where to get a flex fuel composition sensor for my 2000 ranger 3.0L. They’re really expensive new, and are proving to be very hard to find at the scrapyard. Any tips?

Welcome to the forum

Yes, those sensors by the fuel filter were only used for a few years and only on Flex Fuel models so hard to come by used because they did fail over time

If you don't need to run E85 then you can use a fuel composition emulator which is plug and play so computer just gets the "this is gas only" fuel and code goes away
You can still run up to 15% ethanol same as any gas only vehicle

Run about $140us

If you need/want to run E85 then you will need to bite the bullet, and buy another sensor, last I looked, $700us, may be more now

Flex Fuel Ranger 3.0l 1998-2000 used these sensors
