Ok yall I saw this video of a ford ranger thats a v6 and has a badass cam on it I want to know where I can get my hands on a camshaft kit for my v6 3.0L. I want the muscle car sound on my truck. HELP ME find what i need. Thank you!

you will never get a muscle car sound with the 3.slow v6...let alone any v6...gotta have a v8

 

There has to be a car parked next to it that is making all that noise. There is just no way.

you might could get close to that sound on a 4.0 with a catback system and flowmaster 10 series with some engine mods,not sure what mods the 3.slow would need to get close to it

 

First off not everything revolves around a v8 ok yes i do have a v6 my truck is loud already im just looking for that right sound and i need a cam im just not sure how to go about getting one there has to be someone one this site who knows something about it. And for the record my ride is no where near slow..

 

dude i do this all the time. just disconnect your exhaust when your trucks been cold for a while and drop it past the flange near the passenger door. waalaa you have a fake cam. its sounds like s**t when you hit the taps but at idle youre a stroker sleeper lol

 

i dont want it to sound like sh*t i want it to sound good and i also want it done the right way.

 

You aren't gonna get that sound in a V6 ranger, i call BS on that video.

ok, once again, that isnt a cammed out 3L, unless the video lies (and its a four) then no one in their right mind would cam a 3L ranger, sorry to burst your bubble. he simply played around with his exhaust and disconnected an air reading sensor on the intake and 1. you have loud rumble 2. you have choppy stroker sound due to cold engine and offset mixture and crap running

 

so your saying its impossable to cam a 3.0L. You cant be serious nothing is impossible. Have yall even heard of the V6 challenge. I know its possible and i also know its possible to get that sound i want. Help me figure out something

You want that "muscle car" sound in your 3.0 truck? Why? It isn't a muscle car. Your truck barely gets out of its own way but you want it to sound like something fast? You would be taking a low revving engine that doesn't make any power down low and then have it make even less down low and increase the point that it makes power at just so it can sound different so you can feel cool? Retarded.

 

thats a 4.0 yes but it can be done on a 3.0

my truck totaled is worth more than yours so I really don't care. I'm getting a GTO next year anyway and last i checked my truck was in 1 piece nothing fell off of it.

Just get one of these Sound racers in V8 turn your radio up real loud and viola you have your cammed out 3.0l. You don't even have to get your hands dirty
