If you polish a turd, you still end up with a heap of crap in the end ;-)

The motor swap will be a great experience for you to learn some about your truck. Let the mods wait until you can afford them! I can't see any of the pictures because I'm at work, but keep at it!

OP: I know all that stuff I listed isn't cheap, but there are definitely some things you can do now. Roller rockers $279, UD pulley set $199, stroker kit $way to expensive, but for a couple hundred bucks you can unleash some of the HP in 3.0L. I did a 3.0L swap in mine a little over a year ago. Where did you buy the new engine from?
it not new(90,000 miles...truck only has 98,000 miles)...its new to me though...i bought it off a guy that lives near me that has close to 40 rangers sittin' around so that he can build up his project ranger

i plan on doing the swap then trading it in on either an 06' FX4 LII 5spd 4x4 with 35,000 miles and a few mods ($16,900 or a little bit less) or a 04' FX4 off road 4x4 auto with 17,000 stock that i can get for $12,680 because i work at the dealership it's for sale at...
