Want to change the fuel filter. How do I release the pressure in the system?

 

Forgot to mention, it's a 2002 3.0

 

Shouldnt make a difference on size, should have a fuel pump fuse --- pull fuse, run engine till it dies (3-4 seconds?) done !~!

 

Why ?

 

Is there a easier way to get ride of fuel pressure ???

 

How is it hard to pull a fuse?

Wanted to know "WHY?" Maybe he has a better way !!??

 

Find the shrader valve on the fuel rail, cover it with a rag and push it in with a screwdriver. There usually isn't much fuel loss.

 

where is this fuse? I have a 2002 3.0L also.

 

In a 2008 diesel 3.0 where is this fuse? There's only a fuse for the entire fuel system, but with that pulled car won't start.

Or where is the schrader valve?

can't find either of these things to depressurize the rail before removing the lines.
