i'm working on a friends 03' ford ranger edge with a 3.0 liter in it, the driverside bank of the motor is completely dead. all 3 cylinders don't have power, they all have spark, fuel and air. They also have 175 pounds of pressure on all of them. The cam and crank sensor both are working up to specs. What confuses me the most is that there are no trouble codes in the computer. the motor will run but it runs like crap (obviously) can anyone help? i'm confused and i cant find the problem

 

First guess is that the lower intake manifold gasket is shot. Are you losing any anifreeze? That would be a good start. Or maybe the cat is pluged on that side. I think I would check the cat first. Its a little easier.

 

well thats what i originally thought and i have replaced the lower intake manifold gasket. no its not loosing coolant. but i will check the cat on that side
