Installing camshaft sensor
Installing camshaft sensor
Hi all
When I pulled my heads I set the # 1 piston to T DC then took this picture before I pulled the sensor.... thinking after .. did I have it on the right stroke lol.... can someone confirm as I don't have the tool to set it up.... if it's wrong anyone got picture 2003 3.0
There are TWO #1 TDC on any 4-stroke engine, Compression TDC and Exhaust TDC, the CAM/Valves is what decides which is which
So you have a 50/50 chance of this being correct, which is fine, won't hurt anything if its 180deg off, just won't run as well
So after start up, worse case, is you will need to pull off the sensor, see where tab is, then lift up synchro, rotate tab 180 deg then reinstall, all timed
