i have an 88 2.9 6cyl ranger. thought my fuel filter was leaking, jacked it up to replace it, turns out theres another..thing..before the filter. no wires that i can see, so its not a pump. main fuel and return lines go through it. what is it? water, sediment remover maybe?? and can i get rid of it
