loss of power
loss of power
Hi All
I have a 2008 PJ Ford Ranger 3.0 liter turbo diesel 4x4. 5 speed manual transmission.
Issue: after approximately 20 minutes drive time the engine will not rev over 2200 rpm in any gear while driving (underload). will rev over 2200 when not in gear. The first time this happened the engine light came on and will not reset. I initially thought it was the MAF sensor, so I took it out and cleaned it, engine ran fine for about 20 minutes then same issue again. Replaced the MAF sensor with a new one but still same problem. I think it is a temperature related problem because when the engine is first started it runs fine with full power until it gets up to temperature then the problem occurs. Any ideas on where to start looking for problems.
