my new 93 3.0 Long Block
Getting a remanufactured long block for my 93 ranger 3.0L 4x4.Truck has been sitting up 10 yrs. Question to yall is, what should I transfer over from old engine and what should be new. I know the obvious all new gaskets, hoses, belts, filters, oil, ect. Should I replace the fuel injection system totally? All fuel lines? What sensors need replaced. Was told engine ran fine 10 years ago. Still replacing it with new. Any info would help.

Yes, replace fuel injectors
Fuel rail can be cleaned as can fuel lines
I would replace fuel pump assembly and clean the gas tank, pull the bed off or back, just 6 bolts and 3 screws on filler, way easier to work on than dropping the tank
You will transfer over the upper and lower intakes and exhaust manifolds
Oil pan, make sure new oil pump and pickup screen are in place
I would time distributor with engine out to make it easier, it will still need to be fine tuned with engine running, don't forget oil pump drive shaft under distributor
Long block may or may not come with timing chain cover in place, if not then new gasket and new front crank main seal

RonD, On some thread, someone called you GOD. I won't call you that but, I will call you SIR.Thanks for the info. I will have a mechanic do the work, I just just wanted what was needed so I don't get blind sided. I want a no worry engine for awhile. Have a 97 4 banger with 230 thousand . Love it. It is my work Truck. The 93 is going to be my after work truck. Thanks again, Sir RonD
