Need to change clutch but can’t remove exhaust
Is there any possible way to remove the transmission and change the clutch without removing the exhaust in a 1989 ford ranger xlt? The truck is so old the bolts are completely rusted and gone, if I can remove the transmission without removing the exhaust please let me know.
Assuming V6 engine?
If so then, No, you need to remove the exhaust
You could remove the cab......................but I think that would be harder
If truck is still drive-able then take it to an INDEPENDENT exhaust shop, not a chain shop, offer cash and they can cut it off and put in new bolts/studs, if its more than $40 I would be surprised, including parts
They do this day in and day out, if it takes them more than 1/2 hour I would be surprised
