NEED HELP with Roush/Thunderbolt air box
okay so im trying to install this in my truck and for some reason im having the hardest time. i cant get it to fit in there correctly and it keeps knowcking off the hose that leads from the radiatior cap to the resevor so now i have no coolant in thier and i cant line up the tabs that hold it in place. any pics or how-tos on this would be great thanks.
Hose clamp young man, hose clamp. lol.
I had that same issue when first putting mine in a loooong time ago. I think I may have rerouted the overflow hose as well...maybe unlatched a holderdowner or two...i'll come back with pics tomorrow. oh...btw...i've got a ballast to deal with...my box is trimmed up for that.

oh i got it installed now i rerouted that hose to the resevoir and the brackets that mount on kinda where the hood adjusters go just needed bent to match the angle of it but i have it in now lol and i just went ahead and ordered the k&n filter
Sorry Jeremy, I like to ***** mine off. lol.....
Here ya good Seed....the box that says it's for a 3.0, yet fits a 4.0 as well....

Dont worry...the tube has been painted 'aluminum'(lol) and soon will be wrapped in heat wrap for the summer. Also, my box has been cut to fit my HID ballast. Uncut literally is tight as hell against the core support. I've ran 4 different intakes on my truck(stock, K&N, Mac, and Thunderbolt)...and of the 4, I've seen the best intake temps and the highest numbers on the 'seat of your pants' meter. I did the steel tube because I could feel the stock rubber tube compressing on heavy acceleration.

alright so i got my new filter in yesterday and it fits great. i didnt have to cut the rubber flange at the end either and it still fits perfect. i know i only have one mounting bracket on but i messed up bending it back into place and im trying to think of something that i can finish mounting it with.
