Please HELP!

My truck is missing badly and I have no clue. There is no CEL. I cleaned the MAS and there was no change. Any ideas?

Plugs and wires? fuel filter? How does the air filter look? When does it do it? Driving, Idle? Is it all the time, does it seem to be only at a certain rpm?

New air filter, miss is mainly when you lug it down or if you try to start out in 2nd gear. If you rev it up in 3rd, gear it gives up and starts missing badly @ 3200 rpms.

do what he said, check plugs wires etc... if they look bad obviously replace them.. wouldnt hurt to do a nice little overall tune up

Found a leak in one of the small lines going to the DPFE. It's running a lot better but still has a little miss, but at least I can drive it.

I have a metal DPFE and I noticed when I pulled the vacuum lines off it there was corrosin and it looked pretty nasty on those nipples. Do you think I need a new DPFE? If so, what do they cost?

I bought one for a 4.0 a couple weeks ago for about $55.

I remember something about the metal DPFEs shorting out,
and to replace them with a plastic one if possible........

I bought one last year sometime, it was about $50 or $55. At least in theory it should throw a code if it goes wrong.
