Underdrive pulleys and tuners are the most bang for the buck mods. Do it. Just don't get just the UD crank pulley, get the alternator OD pulley as well to speed that alternator back up.

UD = UNDERDRIVE...I shortened it up. I suggest the Underdog/stuffforyourranger.com pulleys.

I said yes to crank, but also yes to the OVERDRIVE alternator pulley. Get both, not just one. Or just get the combo Underdog sells.

You 3.0's have it good...andvery cheap. Us 4.0's gotta pay for a balancer too...our crank pulley is the same price as your pulley kit! lol.

From what I've heard on here the crank pulley is the only one that adds anything for HP and Torque. I guess it averages like 8 HP and 10-11 ft/lbs of torque. The alternator pulley just spins the alternator back to stock power when used with the underdrive crank pulley.

No clue on additional power for the 3.0's, but on a 2005 mustang with the 4.0, It got 16 more horsepower.

Man I should probably do this to my 2.3 now, has anyone with a Lima done it already? Yes I know this is the 3.0 subforum but since we're listing other cars' power gains, couldn't hurt to ask.

justin, not sure if theres a pulley on the market for you. ASP used to make a 2.3 pulley. They discontunued it years ago. I (underdog) bought all the inventory they had left, which is all gone.

Its a great mod for any engine, as long as the end result doesn't leave you without a harmonic balancer.
