Replacing Lower radiator hose. 1998 3.0 Ranger
Hello. I just replaced the water pump on it. The lower hose seems a problem. It is the one that has an upper and lower section.. The lower portion crimps when installed as if it is made too long. One possibility is trimming it to fit.
That could run into a curve, causing another problem. Secondly, the top portion could be trimmed, raising it and taking out some of the kink. However, that could possibly kink the heater hose coming off the center section, causing another
problem. I'm open to suggestions. Thank you.

I am thinking there is a replacement radiator in there, quite common for the lower hose port to be straight or angled, which ever you DON'T want, lol
You can trim which ever end works better, its just a hose, same for heater hose, but at the other end, if it needs to be shorter

Ron, thank you for the response. In continuing this I believe I had the upper connection a bit rotated too far causing the kink. I did trim a bit of the lower end but I believe the correct fix was in the proper alignment of the upper.
