Sputtering in acceleration

So my 03 3.0 is sputtering when I accelerate too fast for the truck. I have had the heads replaced from a previous problem and I have a brand new coil pack and alternator in the truck all within the past like 6 months. My check engine light isn't on so I'm guessing that's not something bad enough to trigger the sensor to go off. I'm still learning about my truck so don't bust my ***. It's just really annoying and I want it fixed. I've heard it can be one of a bunch of problems.
Thanks y'all

Manual or automatic?

Clean the MAF sensor first, they need to be cleaned every 5 years or so.

Check the voltage on TPS(throttle position sensor).
It has 3 wires, top, bottom and center
You want to test the center wire
Remove throttle cover
get a sewing pin and pierce the center wire
Set volt meter to DC volts
Turn on key, engine off
Ground meter(black probe)
Touch red probe to sewing pin, it should read .69-.99 volts, under 1 volt

Now while reading the meter slowly open throttle manually
Voltage should go up steadily, no jumping around and no dropping out
When you get to wide open voltage should be above 4.5volts, 4.50-4.90 volts

Could be torque converter is locking and unlocking, that can seem like an engine stutter.
TCC(torque converter control) solenoid is inside the transmission, computer controls it.
The solenoid wiring inside the trans is a weak point, you will usually get a code for that though, it doesn't always turn on the CEL, so get the codes read at an auto parts store, write them down.
