My question would be would a superchip be decent on the 3.0? I am also wondering if it would help tow a trailer better 5x10 with an atv and if it would remove the 90 mph speed limiter? I really wouldn't want to go that fast in the truck I am also able to get the chip most likely for free a friend has one from his old truck a 06 f150 from what I was reading there is like one chip for all ford trucks other than the f250s and f350s.. the sct tuner i might also look into..

 

superchips are imo the alternative to an X-cal, they are still good it will remove the governors, Ive heard that towing with the tuner will destroy the engine... something about the strain on the engine with a pre program running isnt good... there are threads on that around here... may have to get the superchip reprogramed as the f series is totally different than our rangers... id see about getting it reprogrammed

 

ummm... Its free... Why not take it.

 

i wouldnt tow with it..it would be to much strain on the engine. If its free might as well take it you may have to get it reprogramed though..
