truck paint

Is there any point of cleaning polishing and waxing my paint if i live on a long dirt and gravel road? It seems when i clean my truck dust just gets back on it and ***** up the paint. I've never tried polishing or waxing just clean it.

Waxing adds a layer of protection to the painted surface, can help it last a bit longer, especially if vehicle is parked outside in the Sun

Dirt/dust doesn't hurt anything unless you rub it in, that scratches the clear coat and then the paint, so rinse and wash if you want it to "look" better
If vehicle is recently waxed then just a rinse off with hose will clean off most of the dirt/dust, harder for it to stick to waxed surfaces
