i have 2003 3.0 ffv do i need a clockwise or counterclockwise pump

 

Didn't know there was such a thing.
If you stand in front of the truck looking at the windshield, the engine rotates "clockwise".
The pump turns in the same direction.

The pump still turns clockwise in a flex fuel engine.

What link on the internet asks counter clockwise or clockwise direction ?

 

Direction of water pump rotation is determined by fan belt placement on the water pump pulley
Look up fan belt diagram for your year and engine
Or look under the hood at the fan belt diagram there
The tensioners and idler pulleys often run in reverse direction of crank pulley

There are more than a few engines that use reverse direction water pumps
Usually transverse mounted.
Son had a Grand Am that lost water pump on a road trip and after new pump was installed it ran hotter, but didn't over heat, on his trip home
I had a look and the mechanic mis-routed the fan belt over instead of under the water pump pulley so reversed direction of pump
It still worked just not as well as it should have.
It did take me a bit to find that problem, lol, so mechanic was not totally a goof, diagram was right in front of me the whole time and I never noticed the belt problem until I had removed it and was re-installing it
