Yes, the muffler is 90% of what will make the truck sound different. Are you wanting loud and deep or agressive and sporty? You can swap out a muffler yourself with a few clamps or take it to a exhaust shop and have them weld it on. The best place I found price wise is Magnaflow Performance | Discount Performance Auto Parts | Performance Exhaust Systems | Flowmaster Performance Mufflers

i want a mild tone so i guess sporty? it cant be over obnixious or anything, just a mild roar. i would be better off clamping it on bc it would be cheaper, right?

Borla, Magnaflow, or Dynomax have the sound you are looking for. Magnaflow and Borla are stainless steel casing with stainless steel packing. Dynomax is stainless steel casing with fiberglass packing, but is about half the price.

If you buy Borla or Flowmaster, buy from these guys Wicked Nicky Exhaust. I shopped around a while before buying my Borla, and couldn't beat their price.
