Will a CAI for a 1999 3.0 fit a 2006 3.0?

I saw an ad on the marketplace for a CAI for a 1999 being sold. I’m wanting one I just don’t want to pay for a new one if I don’t have to. If it’ll fit I’ll buy it, but I just don’t want to jump in without some research.

1986 thru 2011 Rangers ALL came with Cold Air Intakes(CAI) as stock equipment, its just part of conversion to Fuel Injection

But yes, you can reinstall CAI from one 3.0l to another 1991-2008

Just remember if you can HEAR air rushing into an engine when you REV it, you have a restricted flow, silent when REVing means clean flow, as good as it gets

Silencers on intakes are trying to smooth the air flow, without restricting it, the "noise" comes from turbulence in the air flow, turbulence is bad
Some like the "noise", that's up to you, but know that you are reducing power not gaining power
