woops i have made a mistake fellas ><

well as most of you know i purchased a ranger

well i thought it was a 98 ranger but its a 95 ranger instead lol

anyhow i bought parts from a 97 4x4 ranger like larger rims (same as stock but not 14 inche but instead 15?) with larger tires on them and a new window for 375 dollars tires are brand new i love it :D

anyhow...lol i will take pics when i get it to my shop and the whole walkthrough of it..

but question...its ben sitting for two years..and i cant tow it...is it safe to drive it for about 3 miles to the shop for it to get all the repairs??

also i got a flowmaster exhuast for it :D first mod sweet!

Been sitting for 2 years? Why mod a truck you're not even sure is safe to drive? I for one would make sure it runs before worrying about how it looks. But yea, check/change ur fluids, make sure you have brakes and all your lighting works so you don't get pulled over or not be able to stop. That's about all I can think of at the moment.

encabulator? wtf? lol

it runs and idles fine a bit sluggish with giving it throttle but i quess thats expected from slightly old fuel

at the shop we plan on replaceing everything and running seafoam through the system then replaceing al the spark plugs once completely.

but i was also wondering would the mods stil work fine with this engine?

i would replace all the radiator hoses before you started driving daily.....the rubber has a tendency to dry rot and burst when you least expect it and that is not a fun situation...trust me

thanks for the tip 03 :)

as far as dry rotting maybe its not a good idea for the area i live in to be kinda humid ??

i was also thinking of seafoaming and since i was going to change the spark plugs anyways should i do it before i swap them out? ..or will it not have the same effect.

Do it before you swap them out. The plugs will have a buildup on them when you run seafoam through it.

quite the complaining, my truck didnt have brakes, exhaust and sat for almost three years when i took ownership. through in a battery, alternator and new belt, drove it home almost 15km (roughly 7 miles). just avoided sudden stops and worried about the rest when i got it home.

fluid check, fire and go...

Well the truck is home and running...decent new spark plugs and coils should be in order cylinder number 3 i beileve archs its spark into one of the header bolts and causes a misfire but did a temporary for it.

Im wondering about the 4.10 gears..where can i find them and how much do they run for? the slightly bigger rims and tires sure make it sluggish
