I might have made a mistake

So I sold my 01 ranger 2wd that was automatic and power everything and 4 door and bought me an 06 ranger stick w/o pwr windows or doors and just 2 door. At first it was fun driving stick but after 2 months it's just annoying. I drive mostly city and it's a pain shifting from light to light. I have my dixon lt 4x4 kit ordered but not sure if I want to but it on the truck. I'm still debating if I should sell it and get an auto 4x4. I thought I was gonna like it and a did for a while but not so much anymore. What do you guys think?

the stick I could deal with, but the no power locks or windows would drive me crazy.

I do love my automatic though and remember how much driving a stick sucked after a long day at work.

driving a stick everyday isnt for everyone. If you hate it already well best I can say is you most likely wont like any more down the road. Get something that makes you happy and excited to drive everyday.

My old truck was 2wd and I wanted a 4x4 to put the dbr kit. Jut thinking of the hassel of selling it and looking for a truck sucks. But I'll be happier with an auto. Stick is only fun in the freeway untill I hit traffic

I drive in traffic everyday. Its not the hassle of having a manual that bugs me its having such a sh!tty tranny and failing clutch that really bugs me.

Seriously. The save is going out. Every morning before I leave for work I have to check and the clutch fluid. I refuse to fix it again. It was replaced last February. I don't even wheel anymore. And no its not my driving because I have owned two manual cars before and I never had any transmission problems with them.

Seriously. I cant get anything in the back without juggling the seats around and I hate having to reach over to roll the window down.

Im glad that i didnt buy the 4 door model. I test drove a couple before buying the 09 and the rattling drove me nuts on the freeway. That and the stupid door ajar light came on in one of them when i made a turn. Yes the doors were closed.

2dr SC FTW.

I do miss having a manual trans though. The autos on the 4.0s just are able to tow a 1000lbs more than the standards.

That is the awesome build quality of these trucks talking to you. I don't have rear doors yet something rattles that sounds like a door and no its not the front.

yeah door ajar light happens to me sometimes. I have an air leak in the window seal from the in channel ventguards. I like having the jumpseats on the sides as opposed to the back wall though, so not having 4 doors isnt really that bad.

my 93 is a 5 speed 4wd 4.0L 2dr with no power anything and i dont mind it.. power windows and locks are a pain in the *** to me. sometimes its a little annoying driving a standard through traffic but its not that bad.

the only thing i wish my truck has is 4doors. its easy to get stuff out of the back seat, just flip the front seat foward and your there.. done it aint ****ing rocket science..

its a little more difficult than that when you are putting bigger stuff back there, or if the bag you want is across the truck, but yeah its not too bad.

everytime I travel with dog and girlfriend, we put most of our luggage back there, and it can be a pain when you have a duffle bag, or a large box. have to put one seat forward, one seat back and go between often.
