Tie downs....2020
Tie downs....2020
Hi everybody ...just bought a left over loaded 2020 xlt with a factory installed bed liner. I got home and I realized there was no tie downs? I mean my old ridgeline had them how does this not? So my question is should I ask? Or buy them myself? I also see these rubber circles on bottoms that pop off but there's nothing under there but the bed underneath....any suggestions?
New Rangers have 3 tie down locations on each side but the brackets usually cost extra, picture here: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/attac...-no-jpg.17773/
Black tie downs are installed
I doubt they are there but you can pull out the liner and have a look, they are not too expensive, $7 each from Ford dealer, check price on the bolts not sure they come with the 2 bolts??
To add them and also have a bed liner would be custom work, depending on the liner used

Throw away (or recycle) the trashy plastic liner. They don't do a lot of good, and they cause rust/corrosion by wearing away paint where you cannot see it. If your bed is aluminum, that may be less of an issue, but still exists.
If you have to, buy the tie-downs (mine came with them).
Get Line-X as a better replacement for the obnoxious bed liner. When I had mine Line-X coated, they made sure the tie-down locations were not filled or obstructed. I've had Line-X on two trucks now, including the 2019, and it has been super-tough. The truck before was a 2000 S10, bought new and coated rght away. The Line-X was in almost perfect shape when I got rid of the truck in 2019 to buy the Ranger, despite loads of stone, concrete blocks, construction debris, machinery, scrap steel, and miscellaneous other stuff.
That link must be to a pic of a yuppie truck, that looks like it's well under a 6 foot bed. Must be a crew cab type.
