Txt Messages
I have a 2019 Lariat Ranger 4x4 with the sync 3 system. I have old txt messages that I cannot delete. I have deleted all messages on my phone and have also deleted and reinstalled my phone ... no luck ..... so how do I delete old text messages ... the refresh button does nothing

Seems to be a common issue with Ford Sync
Do you have an android or iOS device?
Are these all SMS(text only) or all MMS(have pictures/video)?
Are these 3rd party text messages?
Whats app, Yahoo, ect.....
You can do a Master Reset of the Sync system, that will delete all outside info, like all paired phone data
Can(should) also delete NAV past history
Used if you were selling or trading in the vehicle, so all Personal data deleted
System reset or refresh won't do the same as Master reset
When you re-pair your phone it will get info from your phone, so if old messages come up in Sync then they are STILL in your phone somewhere

Should be in your manual
You can get manuals at Ford website, here: https://www.ford.ca/owners/support/guides-and-manuals/
Often easier to read these and search them on a computer
Dealer will often email you a reset procedure if its not in the manual
