Icon9 When will my Ranger be Built?

Ordered a new Tremor in early March, in the year of our Lord, 2021. The dealership has no idea when it will be built. Checked with the Ford Ranger Order Tracking site and it indicates N/A under the estimated delivery date. Does anyone have any educated guesses?

Thanks!

Funny.....went by my local Ford dealer to check on when my drivers air bag is due in for my 2009 Ranger (now not due till Nov). Big dealer, and they had just 3 new trucks and maybe 6 suv's on the lot.
Head sales said they had over 100 orders pending delivery. At Ford plants he said there are thousands of built vehicles just waiting for computer chips and various electronic components, but it is unknown when they will arrive to complete the vehicles.

Problem is the electronics, there are no chips available, so the trucks can be built but no modules to install

Did your truck ever come in?

I put a deposit down on a 2021 last week that my dealer said would be in by the end of this month. It doesn't say In Transit on Ford's website, but they the dealer assures me it will be by the end of the month. I know how they are sometimes and wonder if it will really be here this month.

I put a deposit down on a 2021 Lariat Ranger. That was October 11, 2021. Now it is November 2 and no word on a VIN number or a build date. I have been calling the salesman every Friday to see if there is a build date and so far no luck. I wonder when they will shut down the assembly line to tool up for the 2022 Rangers. Did anyone hear anything about 2022? When does Ford start selling the next year's trucks? Can't wait to get my new truck, damn you Covid chip shortage....

No more 2021 builds

My August 2021 order was confirmed with an October 18 build date. Ford has now changed my order to a 2022 year model since they will cancel existing 2021 orders. I now, according to Ford, have an early order 2022 scheduled for a December build with the same configuration.

I have a 2022 on order, placed on 27 October. I was told the 22 Ranger builds will start on December 13th. Very little changes between the years, Exterior paint and a few other options added.

Update, I talked to the salesman at the dealership and he said that Ford had closed the orders on the 2021’s. So I went in and ordered a 2022 instead. Typical dealership. Don’t Know if the salesman knew that Ford had shutdown production of the 2021 Ranger’s when I made the original order. When I made the order I gave a $500 non refundable deposit. So I am now on the hook. Made the reorder on 13 Nov.

Ford must be hurting. They send me about one offer per week wanting to buy back my 2019. Not happening, of course.

Hah-hah...............

It's a FORD dealer. They are not getting vehicles FROM FORD, and they want something to sell. They get used vehicles when folks trade in on new, and they get no trades when they don;t sell new vehicles, which they cannot do if FORD does not have finished product to ship them.

If FORD were not hurting, why would this thread exist? You don't know when your vehicle will ship because FORD cannot finish putting it together.

A friend of mine that goes to the auctions says even insurance "totaled" trucks are selling better, because people can rebuild and sell them, even with salvaged/rebuilt titles
So what was once a parts only truck is now being rebuilt

What Model Trim did you order? I 1st placed my order for an SC XLT 4x4 on 10/27 then cancelled it just about 2 weeks later, then reordered on 11/27 through a different dealer, I have heard zero from Ford since the confirmation email of receiving my special order and I really am not surprised with the delay. Chips continue to be the problem. Now another $215 price increase will be added on to my order as well with the $317 model year price increase. The 2021 Rangers that were bumped up to the 22 model I guess are being built 1st , would make sense. A few of the Dealers here are listing 22 Rangers but with no visible window sticker to see online on their websites means to me the 22's are not on the dealer's lot yet.
Finding a 21 on the lot here isn't easy as the Dealer's don't stock what I am wanting.

Hi, Hope to follow your thread. Our order was confirmed on October 22. We had a production date of the week of January 3rd. The radio button has not moved off of order confirmed to "in production". I am guessing we have been moved up into February also. Please keep us posted on your progress.

New notice from Ford. My 2922 Ranger XLT will be built week of 21 Feb. Mfg date keeps sliding with no notice why.
I ordered a Supercab XLT with tow package, spray in bed liner and Sport package. Also ordered the Hot Pepper Red metalic paint.

Waiting for China to get off their asses and make the necessary chips, could be a plot to destroy the auto industry in the USA.

Also, can't wait for the glut of F150 to hit the Dealerships, they should be calling everyone they talked to for the last year just to get rid of them.

Wondering, will the Truck be 2021s or 2022s ?

Ford isn't the only one but the only on Im interested in.
