Help I have a 03 ranger edge that will not start battery is fully charged , tried to push to start (straight shift) nothing ,What could it be???

Which engine, 2.3l 4cyl, 3.0l V6 or 4.0l V6?
EDIT: sorry you have a 4.0l SOHC

I assume manual transmission?

2003 has PATS(passive anti-theft system), which prevents startup if correct key is not in ignition
On the instrument cluster there is a THEFT light, its next to the Right Turn arrow on a 2003 Ranger

That light should come on when you turn on the Key(along with other dash lights) and then go OFF, if THEFT light starts to Flash rapidly then engine will NEVER start by any method, jumping or pushing
If this happens then LEAVE key ON, and wait 45-60seconds, THEFT light will start to Flash a 2 digit Code number, 1 flash, pause, the 1 to 6 flashes, longer pause, repeat
This is what that code means:
11 Transceiver [transponder coil] not connected, or there is no power to it.
12 Transceiver internal fault.
13 No Key/no PATS key has been used to turn the ignition switch.
14 Incomplete key code received.
15 Invalid key code received.
16 CAN communications error


If THEFT light comes on and then goes OFF..........PATS is not the problem

Test if all the lights work, dash lights should all come on with key on, turn on headlights too
Also turn heater Fan to HIGH
You are testing if battery cables are OK
If turning on these things all at the same time causes lights to dim then you have battery cable issues
