Im new on here and I'm sure this question has been asked a hundred times but ive spent the last hour searching previous posts on here and on google as well.
I just bought a 2004 ford ranger 4.0 v6 4x4.
Its slowww. Not sure if it just needs a tune up and oil change or if this is as good as it gets.

How difficult and costly would it be to swap in a 3.7 v6 motor and auto tranny from a newer mustang or f150? I'd also like to retain 4x4

Please save the comments such as "i hope your pockets are deep..."
I'd like REAL feedback from someone who has done the swap, and can tell me firsthand what to expect.
