Icon4 2004 ranger wont start when hot

My 2004 ranger has problem starting after I turn it off when it is hot; if I wait (hour or more or until the next morning) it will start. It especially will do this if I turn off the engine than start it up and go a short distance and turn it off again; ( like when I am waiting in a long line of traffic).
Does anyone know what the problem could?

Welcome to the forum

Assuming 4.0l SOHC engine

I assume it cranks, starter motor works, but No Start?

Could be a few things
Leaking injector is flooding out the engine, whats MPG like?
Colder engines need more fuel to start, and extra fuel will evaporate pretty fast in a warm engine, see if engine bay smells like gasoline after its shut off warm

Coil Pack is getting too hot when fan is off in engine bay, heat soaked

Do 50/50 test after a crank but No Start
Confirm a No Start
Pull off Power Brake booster Hose
Spay Quick Start(Ether) in to the hose going to the engine
Put hose back on
Try to start engine

If it starts and dies then you have a Fuel flow issue, when warm
If it does not fire/start, then its a Spark issue, when warm
50/50 instant results
