4.0 sohc question
Will a 94 4.0 Ford ranger motor fit in a 02 ford ranger 4.0 not worried about problems with the older motor just want to know if it will work in my truck or will I need to change wiring harnesses or ecms and stuff
Yes, it will physically fit and bolt to current 2002 transmission
Yes, you will need to change the engine wiring harness and PCM(ECM)
While they have the same displacement(4 liter) they are different engines operationally
And you would need a 1998-2000 4.0l PCM and wiring harness, couldn't use 1994 PCM unless its a manual trans, and then you would also need the EDIS spark system with wiring harness from the 1994 as well
