4.0 sparkplug problem solved
4.0 sparkplug problem solved
After hours of fussin, cussin, & knuckle bustin here it is. Multiple extensions & swivels? forget it! No extensions or swivels? nope. On the pass. side through the wheel well 3/8s ratchet, swivel & sparkplug socket. A 3" extension is to long so use the 1.5" swivel as an extension. On the drivers side I had to use extensions & a swivel through the engine compartment & or through the wheel well. Hope this helps someone. Be safe use jack stands.
Well ain't you special. After I figured out how to access them it didn't take me but about an hour. Thanks for being a smart *** though. Just looking to help a fellow Ranger owner. Guess you got it all figured out. That being the case why don't you put something helpful instead of talking smack.
Just changed my 4.0 plugs last year
I had to pull both front tires & go thru the inner liners except the plug beneath the battery . I used a long extension & the plug came right out.
O'Yes it took 5 hours to complete.
I found out that some times I don't start my truck for a month causing air bubbles In the fuel line ,so I charge the fuel line several time so I get a positive shot of gas to start my engine. Roc
