is there any way to tell if i have 9 in brakes or 10 in brakes without haveing to take off the wheel and messure take off the wheel and look at the drum its just dark and i need to order some e brake cables lol

You could guess.... lol. Better to be safe than sorry and just pull a wheel off.

I'm pretty sure it'll be 10" drums being that your truck is a Supercab/4.0L/4x4... but have a look at your drums. Is there any fins on it? If I remember right the 9" ones sort of have fins all the way around while the 10" ones are more smooth with a sharper edge. Check out a site like rockauto.com that has pics of parts and you'll see what I mean!

 

get a tape measure. just crawl under your truck and measure the back of your drum.

Yes, any one or all of those gets you the automatic upgrade to the 10" drums.

don't the newer trucks have 11" or 12" brakes or is that just the front?

 

Drums are physically different. Look at pics of a 9 and 10" an match them up. I did that with mine.
