Canister Purge Valve

When changing the canister purge valve is it okay to replace all of the vacuum lines with just rubber hose. I think some of these lines are hard plastic? with an outer rubber shell. I don't know??? I thought it was strange that some of the vacuum lines are just rubber and some are a combination of this hard plastic and rubber. I guess I'm just wondering if I change them to all rubber if it will be a detriment. I'm a little nervous about trying to get these hard plastic lines off. They seem pretty stubborn.

No check engine light, but it reads a code P1443. Whatever it is it tells you that the canister purge valve is bad or the hoses leading to it. I've replaced three hoses already that were dry rotted. Right now my truck seems to be getting worse gas mileage than before. I contacted a Ford parts store and they wanted to sell me a complete system for $180, and just the canister purge valve is only $50.99 at Autozone with 2 feet of rubber hose running around $1.00! Dang it Ford. I'll end up fixing it for a 1/3 of the cost of Ford. The truck is running pretty well though.

yeah but that hose can hold up to the fuel vapors going through it, it will work for a little bit... you really need fuel line.

I don't think I can remove mine without any effect. It has a port that it connects to right on the bottom of the throttle body. Could I get some flexible fuel line from Autozone maybe? I don't know? Any suggestions?

A while back I read a post somewhere that you can buy the complete system for about $100 bucks but I didn't save the info. Now my 95 Ranger 3.0 is throwing the same code, so if any members know of where to buy the complete canister purge assembly, please post. Tascal Parts?
