Did I get the wrong plugs?
I went to the stealership the other day to pick up some plugs, for my truck. They gave me motorcraft AGSF24N, I have a feeling they aren't the right plugs for my SOHC. I can't find my owners manual, my haynes manual is useless..... I don't care if I run platinum in my truck unless it's necessary? Before I break my arm in attempting to change my plugs can some please tell me if these are the right plugs or not/ if I HAVE to run platinums? Thanks

Idk what the motorcraft cross number is. Best bet for you to do, is pull a plug, and compare. SOHC plugs are longer reach(more threads) than the OHV engine. ALOT of replacement plug books STILL havn't updated thier part number for the SOHC. Some still list the same plug as the OHV engine...which are not usable in a SOHC engine.
You need plugs already? Just curious why.

That is no kidding, it took me FOREVER to get all of mine done and my hands were all cut up afterwards. We did Jakes (Lord of War) a week later and with the BL it took like a half hour while we shot the sh** and drank beer.

Sweet. I was thinking was going to be the easiest way. Still not looking forward to it though. lol. I am super glad that I have one of the swivel knuckles, makes life much easier.

platinum on the plugs in the other bank. This is due to the opposite polarity spark each bank gets, due to two plugs firing at the same time, in series.

No, both banks will be single platinum. The center electrode will have platinum on the plugs in one bank, while the ground electrode will have

how does a BL make changing plugs easier? Wouldnt it make it harder since the block is lower down in the engine bay? I have a BL and it still took like 5 hours to do all 6 of mine. It was a PITA. That was my first time though so I don't know what it's like to do plugs on a stock height Ranger

Let this pic solve your question as to why it's easier to change plugs on a bodylifted ranger....
You have full access to each and everyplug from the fender...not above. Lifting the fenders up from the frame adds TONS of room.
