Engine Stalls

My 1994 Ranger 4.0 stalls after running a little while. Sometimes it will crank back up in a minute or two, sometimes about an hour. Any suggestions?

could be the distributor

i had this in my car, the coil packs in the distro burn out and when the distro reaches a certain temp it broke connection and vehical would stall. sometimes it would restart right away, other times it would be an hr or so before it restarted. needless to say sitting in a car when its 10F outside for an hr with no heat sucks ***!

orginal distro and wires and plugs? Also could be fuel pressure, when a fuel pump goes out sometimes it will cut out like that when it gets hot.

A 94 4.0L doesn't have a distributor.

Can anybody tell me how to fix code 542 & 543? I know it has something to do with the fuel pump, but is it in wiring or relay's, etc...
