EGR Valve Pos sensor location

I'll have to assume that you are talking about a 98 Ranger since that's what is listed in your profile.
There is no EGR position sensor on a 98 (although some parts stores erroneously label it as such). Instead, the EGR system uses a differential pressure flow sensor called a DPFE or DEPT. There is nothing to clean except to disconnect the two hoses overnight and let any accumulated moisture dry out. Use care because it is easy to damage the hardened hoses after years and miles.
The location varies by year and engine but it is always connected to the EGR tube by 2 hoses and always has a 3-wire connector going to it. The general appearance should be similar to the one below and it could be metal or plastic. Should be easy to find.
