What happened?? Keys erased!!
I disconnected my negative battery cable to mess with my speaker box in my truck. After i was all done, i hooked the cable back up, turned just the power on, and i heard clicking from the engine, so then i tried to start it, and it would crank, but wouldn't start. So i called FORD. The told me to check all kinds of stuff. But none of it worked. So i called FORD back and they had it towed to the dealership. Ended up, the computer was erased and didn't remember the keys anymore (the microchip keys). So my keys couldn't start the truck. What happened?????? FORD didn't know either. They just charged me $177 for the diagnostic and reprogramming of 2 keys. My 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty would not cover it!!! Bull. Lemme know guys.

Why didn't you just unplug the speakers? Thats alot of trouble un-plugging the battery and erasing the computers drive cycle memory to work on speakers.
I have no idea why it erased your keys. I've had my battery unhooked for ~2-3 weeks at a time and no problems and it still cranked it up first try.
