I have an 07 Ford ranger 4.0 When truck is warmed up, it runs fine and idles fine. The minute I give it throttle a couple times and wait a few seconds, I get a like popping noise. I give it gas it quits. Let off and few seconds later it starts popping again. I disconnect throttle control module, it stops I replaced that. It is still doing it. I replaced idol sensor. still does it. replaced gaskets on intake manifold. no help. Checked vacuum lines, replaced fuel pump. and 2 years ago I replaced throttle body, still does it. Can anyone give me an Idea of what else to do.

How many miles on your '07 and how long have you owned it?

The popping noise makes me think of incorrect engine timing.

See if the big L pipe from the PCV valve to the right side of the intake is intact.
I've read that they crack. It'd be a huge vacuum leak.
Along those same lines, check to see if the mounting for the PCV valve (which is in the back end of the valve cover) is intact.
